Ellen said “I’ll come back someday” “I promise”. I think it was a good promise to make because she probably will come back someday and they are best friends. I would have made this promise because after the war I would want to come back after time. I think I would have to come back because your friend would miss you like crazy and see what your home town looks like, and possibly move back and start a new life.
